As a national leader in the event industry, Lendable Linens is focused on providing our clients with superior service and an unmatched product selection of luxury linens for their special event needs.  As our Linen and Fabric Division Manager, you will oversee all aspects of luxury linen rental services, with a focus on design and event industry trends, customization for any occasion, and relationship building with suppliers and clients. You will be responsible for selecting, maintaining, and delivering high-quality linen products that meet the unique needs of our clients and their events, ensuring that every event reflects exceptional design and aesthetic standards. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

Role and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design and development of a diverse and on-trend linen collection, including tablecloths, napkins, runners, drapery, and custom-designed textiles
  • Stay update to date on industry trends and textile innovations to curate a stylish and versatile linen inventory, creating cohesion across sister-company brands and products
  • Manage the division’s budget ensuring efficient use of resources and maintaining cost-effective practices in sourcing and production
  • Monitor revenue and expenses for the linen division and report regularly to upper management on performance
  • Drive revenue growth and profitability, ensuring division sales increase year over year; develop business expansion strategies and client relationships
  • Work closely with our Sales Team to understand clients’ design vision and provide expert guidance on fabric selection, color schemes, and textile applications including custom drapery
  • Conduct regular training sessions on linens, design principles, and customer service to elevate team skills and knowledge
  • Provide expert recommendations to clients regarding linen design and textile choices, taking into consideration event size, theme, and budget
  • Provide input on fabric sourcing, design creation, and the integration of new materials or textiles into the existing linen collection
  • With Warehouse Manager, oversee staff performance, conduct evaluations, and provide feedback to ensure a high level of service and professionalism within the division
  • Implement systems to assess the condition of linens after each rental, identifying any necessary repairs or replacements
  • Resolve any customer concerns or complaints related to linen quality, design, or delivery, ensuring prompt and professional solutions
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with designers and textile vendors, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and timeliness for all linen orders
  • Review pricing structures for linens and textiles to ensure competitiveness in the market while maintaining profitability
  • Coordinate the delivery and setup of linens for events, ensuring that all orders are fulfilled accurately and according to client specifications
  • Oversee linen installation and design for high-profile events, ensuring that textiles are seamlessly integrated into the overall event design
  • Partner with Warehouse Manager to ensure that all linen products meet high standards of aesthetic appeal, durability, and cleanliness

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in textile design, linen rental, or related field within the event or hospitality industry
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Textile Design, Interior Design or related field. Formal training in textiles is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of fabric types and lengths, textures, colors, and textile techniques including sewing, embroidery, and others
  • Demonstrated experience in developing relationships with clients, while recognizing opportunities for new business
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, and inventory management software programs
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to perform under pressure, be adaptable, and meet competing deadlines
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
  • Work Location: Rotation to various showrooms in the Pittsburgh Region
  • Required to be proficient in English and to speak and hear
  • Manual dexterity required for use of keyboard and telephone
  • Must be able to ascend and descend ladders while carrying up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and squat up to 8 hours a day
